I dont know if anyone found a solution for this problem yet. I know a way to fix this little error some of you have.

  1. Sound Blaster Live Value Dell Oem Ct4780 Driver For Mac Windows 10

But i dont know if anyone posted it here allready. But here it goes!:) - I found out by mistake that the card driver given (WDM) or whatever shit win7 will give does NOT work with 24bits audio what so ever!!! You must select a lower quality / frequenzy to use this card with win7. It will still sound OK but will not perform as good as it shud have. How to fix: Go to 'Start - Control panel - (right top corner, select large icons, or small.) and then select 'Sound' from the list given.

There you shuld see a speaker or whatever. Select it and press Properties.

Then select the 'Advanced' tab and then go ahead and change the bit rate in the box. I have 16 bits, 48000 hz (DVD quality) it's what worked best for me.

This shuld remove the SUPER CHARGED BASS some of you were refering too. Sorry for my English!

Im deadly tiered here since its 03:18 at night xD Anyways, hope this helpen for someone. I only registred here because i tough it'd be funny if i could assist someone:) Good luck to all of you! Hi, i know this is an old card but i just built up another pc from old bits to play some games on and have a serious sound issue with it and windows 7. The driver i have installed came from windows update called 'Creative driver update for Creative EMU10K1 Audio Processor (WDM)'.

The problem is the sound quality is terrible! It sounds almost like the bass has been turned up x500. Windows sounds are not so bad but its really apperent when playing games. Any suggestions? Hi all, first I want to thank you for this thread. Probably I have wasted almost 1 day with trying drivers, but I saved 1 day with this thread. Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion to buy a new sound card. Wasted many hours on a Realtek AC'97 ACL850 onboard sound, tryed EVERYTHING possible but no sound comes out of the speakers.

Then I dusted my SB Live 5.1. After some time I stumbled across this thread and finally got it to work with the Kx drivers. I was soo happy to solve the problem.

But on the next day I wanted to use skype and connected a micophone to the card - Bluescreen. Deactivated the card in safe mode and restarted - works again, but only with no microphone connected. I'm not sure if its the driver or the card, but at this point I have no more time and energy to resolve it. Its really sad that I have to trash this great sound card. I hope other people have more luck with it:P.

Just to let you know, the newest DanielK driver is here: I'm currently in the process of trying to find the best driver for my system and came across this thread. @Creative: You suck, and your people HATE you. (That little quote comes from back when I used to play Civilization II with my bro. Whenever I wasn't doing so well and I had riots in the cities, he would start laughing and say 'You suck. And your people hate you!'

I think it applies in this case.) I wonder how many other people will read this thread before all of the Creative cards are out of circulation.
